and leadership because of their education,

career choice, status in the community,

personality, and/or financial contribution

with no concern for the detrimental effect

that their ungodly and unregenerate

behavior has on the true children of God.

Hebrews 13:17 speaks of the responsibility

of those who "watch for [our] souls, as they

that must give account.” Could it be that

there are many hirelings in pulpits today

who “serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but

their own belly; and by good words and fair

speeches deceive the hearts of the simple”

(Rom. 16:18)? God will hold church

leadership accountable for accommodating
