             canine tooth roots (a), the third maxillary premolars (b), and the maxillary recess (c). A comminuted fracture of the right maxilla is pre­
             sent, associated with dental fractures and tooth fragment migration. Mineralized dental fragments are seen subcutaneously (a: arrows),
             and the unerupted left first molar is lodged within the left maxillary recess (c: arrow).

                                                                              duct obstruction and a history of being bitten
                                                                              in the face as a puppy. There is  disorganization
                                                                              of the left maxillary fourth premolar with
                                                                              altered structure and two unequally sized frag­
                                                                              ments (a: solid arrows).  The maxillary bone
                                                                                surrounding the tooth roots is expansile with a
                                                                              lytic component (a: open arrow). The frontal
                                                                              sinuses are asymmetric, and the zygomatic
                                                                              and maxillary bones are malformed. This has
                                                                              affected formation of the nasolacrimal duct on
                                                                              the left side, compared to the normal duct
                                                                              on the right (d: arrowheads).
