While everyone was still laughing, Emilia expressed her
         thanks to Mrs. Sanchez.
               “Mom!” Adriana exclaimed in disbelief.

“Trust me, Sweetie, Mrs. Sanchez responded as she got
ready to leave the hospital room to fulfill Emilia’s request. “You
would want me to get you some caramel popcorn when
         you’re in this position.”
“Speaking of food, I think I will accompany your mom

and ride with her to the CVS, “Samaria said.
“Me, too,” Katey said. “Care for anything?” Katey asked
         Adriana.
“Um, a McChicken and a small fry from McDonald’s will
         be nice.”
“Your wish is my command,” Katey said. “Be back in a

second, Emilia, Samaria said. “I’ll be waiting,” Emilia said with
         a smile.
“Still no pain from the contractions?” Adriana asked.
“None at all,” Emilia said. “That’s God himself,” Adriana said.

“Oh my gosh,” Emilia said as she felt the pain of her con-
tractions returning. “Please get the nurse,” Emilia yelled as she
grasped her stomach with tears streaming down her face.
Adriana ran quickly to get the nurse.
“How’s my girl?” Dr. Chester asked as he walked into the
room with two nurses and Adriana.

“Emilia, I need to check to see how far you’ve dilated.
The nurses assisted with sitting Emilia’s legs in the upward posi-
tion. Dr. Chester placed on rubber gloves and checked to see
if Emilia had dilated. “Oh my, let’s prepare to have a baby!”
Dr. Chester said excitedly. Hearing what the doctor said, Adri-

ana texted her mother, informing her that the baby’s delivery
         would be soon.
“We are on our way up,” Mrs. Sanchez texted back.
