Page 9 - GOLIATH THE TALLEST HORSE IN THE WHOLE WORLD
P. 9
Kevin knew we had developed the Northcote Centre to
specialise in the care of big horses, and he asked if we
would consider giving Goliath a home. Kevin also knew
we did not use stables but that the horses lived in
communities in large buildings. They led their own lives
to a certain extent and learned to obey voice commands
rather than be led around on the “end of a string”.
Kevin also explained quite clearly that we should
understand that Young and Co could no longer fund the
veterinary care for Goliath. He explained that the bills at
Sheffield Park had been huge and the company would
not pay out any further.
Picture on next page shows Goliath (right front) at
his best, leading the winning team of four Young's
horses at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
