CHAPTER 5
THE NIGHTMARE
When the day arrived to collect Goliath, I enlisted the
help of a girl volunteer who was working at the Centre
and came from Spilsby, close at hand. We left very early
in the morning and arrived without incident at Sheffield
Park, some 170 miles distant by 9.30am.
Literally the night before when we had contacted the farm
we were told that there were two horses coming, Goliath
had a friend. A firm and faithful friend, they had become
inseparable.
