hooks still fail to engage, contact your Operations Manager.
                7. When most of the load has been tipped, raise the stabilisers, engage a low gear
and slowly move the vehicle forward, away from the load. Stop, apply the
handbrake and check that the skip is empty
                8. Select ‘Arms Raise’ until the arms are fully closed bringing the container back onto
the body then retract arms into normal transport position.
                9. Disengage the P.T.O.

                10. Should the load be difficult to unload, place the container on the ground, detach the
lifting chains and move the vehicle. If you cannot free the obstruction by hand, seek
help from the site staff as they may have to free the obstruction with mobile site plant.
                11. Reload the container on the vehicle and go back to the tipping face and discharge
                    the load.
                12. Damaged containers must be reported to your Operations Manager who will advise
you of where to take the skip for repair.
                13. Experience has taught us over the years that when construction sites that purchase
ready mix concrete have an excess, they have been known to pour it into the skip
rather than pay a disposal charge to the ready-mix company to take it back. This
practice is extremely dangerous and drivers should be aware that the wet concrete
sets and the skip is then topped up with what appears to be general rubbish.

If it is suspected that the skip is filled with concrete firstly notify your Operations
                 Manager.

                14. If you arrive on site and find a container / skip with a fire in it or where there has
been a fire, do not remove the container from site. Leave it where it is and notify
your Operations Manager who will take up the matter with the customer.

                15. If you are then instructed to collect the container, once the burning of waste has
been resolved with the customer, you should exercise extreme caution with the
contents of the container. Be aware that the waste could combust when you are
                    travelling on the highway.

                16. When you arrive at the Transfer Station or Landfill site do not empty the container
until you have specific instructions to do so from the Transfer Station Manager and
ensure that they are aware that the contents of the container have been fired as this
will then potentially become hazardous waste and will require additional paperwork
                    to consign the waste.
