(2015) claim that the bigger the separation value, the better the instrument's
quality regarding all respondents and items, because it can identify groups
of respondents and groups of items.
In addition, to check the respondent’s ability to differentiate the four scales,

Table 27 shows that the observation average and Adrich Threshold score
range from the lowest to the highest, which indicates that the students can
differentiate the description of the scales to determine to what extent their
peer’s text meets the criteria stated in the rubric. The result is evident in the
students' peer assessment, as outlined in section B of this manuscript.
