With their coach’s support, leaders create an In-
dividual Development Plan supported by proven
developmental resources, including books, videos,
e-learning classes, blogs, and the CZSU Leader-
ship Development curriculum. These plans help
leaders to learn new skills and behaviors and build
supportive relationships with other supervisors,
managers, and colleagues. Coaches help leaders
analyze the workplace for opportunities to intro-
duce new concepts, try new skills, and develop
leadership techniques.
In the end, the Individual Development Plan be-
comes the “agenda” for self-development activities
and the basis for tracking and measuring progress
in improving leadership skills, professionalism,
and effectiveness.
