Wash hands the same way you would wash before eating bread, however no blessing is recited.
One should refrain from talking until after we eat the Karpas.

Dip a small piece of celery (less than kezayit) into saltwater or vinegar, and recite Bore Peri
Ha’Adama while having in mind Karpas and Maror.

The head the household breaks the middle Matza into two pieces. He sets aside the larger
piece for the Afikoman and returns the smaller piece back in between the top and bottom
Matza. It is the custom of Moroccan Jewry to recite the following words in Arabic or Spanish,
prior to cracking the Matza.

ע ַלא ִּׁייד, ִּׁחין ְכ ְרזּו ְז'דּו ְד ַנא ִּׁמין ַמ ְצר,ַא ְג ָׁדא ְק ָׁצם ֲאּ ָׁללה ֶא ְל ְבחר ע ַלא ְט ָׁנאץ ְל ְט ֵּריק
ִּׁחין ְפ ְכהּום ּו ַז'א ְתהּום מן ְלכ ְד ַמה. ֹמ ֶשה ֶבן ַע ְמ ָׁרם ְע ֵּליּה ָׁס ַלאם ּו ְר ַדא- ִּׁסיד ַנא ּו ְנ ִּׁבי ַנא
! ְל ַמﬠַן ְשמוֹ ַה ָׁגד ֹול ְו ַהנ ֹו ָׁרא, ַא ְג ָׁדאק ִּׁאי ְפ ְק ַנא ִּׁמין ַהאד ְל ָׁגלּות,ַא ְס ִּׁעי ָׁבה ְלחּו ִּׁרי ָׁיה
Spanish
Asi partio Dios a el mar en doce caminos, para sacar a los hijos de Israel de Egypto, en
manos de Dios y de Moshe Rabenu, hijo de Amram. Y con el zejut de esta noche,
rogamos al santo Bendito El, que nos habra un buen camino y nos saque siempre a luz.
