FOUNDERS' DAY: Number of Sorors: 10 Others: Congregation
Description of the Activity: Founder’s Day brought the worship of Gamma Mu of Virginia
Beach and Alpha Lambda of Norfolk at First Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, Virginia. This
is the church of sorors M. Reid and M. Dixon. Basileus Soror Andrea Wyche presented the
greetings, the history, and the purpose of the Sorority as well as a monetary donation to the
church from our chapter. The Torch Lighting Ceremony followed the service. Afterwards,
sorors gathered for a Fellowship Luncheon at a local restaurant in Norfolk, Virginia.

HEALTH, NUTRITION AND HYPERTENSION: Number of Sorors: 10
Description of the Activity: Each soror serves as the hostess for monthly meetings. After each
meeting, a repass is served. At that time, issues concerning Health, Nutrition (eating healthy),
Exercising, Hypertension and Diabetes are discussed, and literature disseminated to better
inform our sisters of a healthy lifestyle.

SENIOR TEACHERS/SECOND CAREERS/RETIRED SORORS VOLUNTEER
PROGRAM (RSVP): Number of Sorors: 10
Description of the Activity: Gamma Mu Sorors are involved in child care, tutoring, volunteer
work in their churches and other capacities in their communities.

ANTHROPOS: 2 Number of Sorors: 10 Others: 2
Description of the Activity: Anthropos supported activities of the Gamma Mu sponsored
programs.
