Position: Regional Health and Safety Manager.

Company: Irish & Lagan Asphalt, part of the Lagan Group of
companies based in Dublin.
Infrastructure surfacing projects included, but no limited to:

● M4 Mullingar By-Pass.

● Fermoy By-Pass.

● M6 Mullingar - Galway Motorway.

● M1 Dublin to Belfast motorway & Dublin port tunnel.

● Various regional surfacing projects.

Irish Asphalt has a mineral extraction quarrying facility and manufactures
bitumen asphalt for their subsidiary Lagan Asphalt, Lagan Bitumen
manufactures bituminous products from their manufacturing facility in

Dublin with a storage facility based at Dublin Port.
Achievements

● Obtained OSHAS 18001 accreditation.
● Represented Ireland in the European Agency for Health and Safety at Work “Good Practice” Award.
organised by the Health and Safety Authority in Ireland.

● Developed and implemented Health and Safety Management systems based upon a strong foundation of
robust risk management systems and safe systems of work that significantly improved standards, reduced
accidents, incidents and near misses.
● Introduced an effective continuous improvement programme that was recognised by the Health and
Safety Authority in Ireland.
