Islam, the source of inspiration and traditional thought at that time
came from nature alone. Second, the period of integration with
Islam. This period is a period of mutual influence, as can be seen
from the adat tradition which reads as adat basandi syarak, syarak
basandi adat. Third, the period after the Padri war (ends 1837 AD).
The period of merging adat with Islam was marked by the social
leadership structure of the community consisting of three elements
of society (tungku tigo sajarangan), namely custom, religion and
government.
As explained in Chapter II, that the purpose of human
creation is total surrender to Allah, meaning that all aspects of
human life, physically and mentally, in the world and the hereafter,
are directed to God. In other words, surrender is meant to be
devoted to Allah with true piety.
Taqwa or submission to Allah can be manifested in the
form of aqidah (faith), morals (attitudes, manners), worship
(charity, work) and muamalah (relationships with society) which
form a unity that forms an integrated system, the system is called
the Islamic teaching system. .
In accordance with the form of the above system, according
to the Islamic view, an ideal human being is a pious human who
has noble character, believes in monotheism, worships and
bermuamalah based on the principle of upholding Allah's Shari'a
