of Islam to the basic order of customs, namely a very basic

view of life for the Minang people.
There are two provisions that underlie the Minang

people's view of life which is called the takambang realm as a

teacher: First, the law of causality (cause and effect), the
impact of this law is to shape the Minang people's way of

thinking to become rational, namely prioritizing reasons based
on common sense. Second, the teachings of mind or morality

based on raso jo pareso (taste and propriety) are subtleties of
mind in the Minang community, so that the approach or

attitude of the Minang people always balances ratio and taste.

The teachings of the mind that come from nature's
contribution to humans who provide and volunteer themselves

for the needs of human life, but nature never demands back for
the goodness it has given. Such natural goodness is called the

teachings of the mind or morality. These teachings provide
understanding and inspiration to the Minang community that

a good deed done for others should be based on sincerity and

sincerity of heart, otherwise not on the basis of profit or loss.
Sincere teachings are based on conscience, namely a

high awareness on the basis of mutual love between fellow

human beings which in the Minang proverb is described as
               follows:
   126   127   128   129   130   131   132   133   134   135   136
