                            cheerleader in the village and decoration in the
                            nagari, the honor of the nagari is in her hands, the

                            shame of a mother is shame for her village.

                                   In  the  description  of  the  role  of  the
                            mother above, the main educator in adat is the

                            mother (woman), and the next row is the father,
                            then after that is the so-called social educator.

                           2)  Social Educator
                                   A father is believed to be an enterprising

                            person and works hard to earn a living to support

                            the  household  economy,  therefore  he  is
                            described  as  a  wise  man.  Besides  being

                            responsible for his children, he is also obliged to
                            guide  his  nephews.  Children  are  raised  with

                            treasures (low inheritance), nephews are raised
                            with treasures (high inheritance), therefore a man

                            has a dual role in Minangkabau. A good father is

                            one  who  is  able  to  position  his  function  and
                            position as a sumando (semenda) ninik mamak

                            in  the  family  environment  of  his  wife  and

                            children,  and  on  the  other  hand  he  is  a  ninik
                            mamak in the family environment he comes from
