3. Educators and Students
a. Educator
In this section, we will discuss who the education
providers are. In chapter II it has been discussed that an
educator must be an adult, spiritually and physically
mature, and has the responsibility, authority and
awareness to educate. Educators in adat are parents of
the educated, relatives (ninik mamak, brothers and the
community) who intentionally pass on the values of
Minang tradition or culture and religion to their
children and nephews.
1) Natural Educator
When a pair of human children (boy and
girl) has made the decision to get married, it
means that the couple is mentally ready to
become parents and at the same time they are
ready to become educators for their children.
