dominate the archipelago. Therefore, the story in Tambo seems
to have a connection with historical stories, although the
evidence for his legacy is not so strong, because of Alexander's
presence in India, 300 years BC, which was the peak of the
massive movement of Malay deutros to the south, especially to
the archipelago. So it is possible that the three kings as the
ancestors of the Tambo version of the Minang people were the
three generals of Alexander's army who came from Rome.
2. Minangkabau According to History
Even though the distance of the year is very far, the
study of Minang history starts from prehistoric times, because
as the foundation of the existence of customs at this time there
are still many related. Regarding the origin of the Minang
people as well as the origin of the ancestors of the Indonesians,
it is said that they came from back India which is
approximately located around Yunan, Burma, Vietnam and
surrounding areas.
There were two waves of ethnic migration to the South.
The first wave of displacement occurred around 2000 BC this
era was called the Old Stone Age and the ethnic group was
called Proto-Malay. Among the descendants of this ethnic
group are the Batak, Mentawai, Toraja and Dayak tribes. In
