                  company can, it should also come up with other minor rewards for those who perform
                  well. If more and more people will be rewarded for good work, then more people will
                  be motivated to work too.







               1.  You are addressing your staff. You want to share the results of the recent
                  survey on the company’s promotion scheme. Discuss the points below and
                  then invite the staff to give you other feedback in case the survey results
                  failed to cover their sentiments.

                  As you well know, we have conducted a survey about how the employees feel about
                  our newly implemented promotion scheme. I would like to share the results of the

                  that there should be a transparent process in the screening of candidates for promo-
                  tion. The bases for the promotion of an employee should also be known by all. Lastly,
                  there is also a clamor for an increase in monetary promotions that go with the award.

                  tions. We want to thank you for your input.

               2.  You are announcing the promotion of a selected employee. Give the reasons
                  below as the bases for the employee’s promotion. Congratulate the employ-
                  ee and wish him or her luck for the future.

                  Sample answer:
                  Thank you for attending this short program. Today, we would like to announce the
                  promotion of an employee who has consistently given an exemplary performance for
                  the company. Recently, she headed a team that supervised our Mega World Project
                  that eventually launched the Ultra Slim Notebook, our current bestseller. Throughout
                  the duration of the project, she was always present and she even stayed on after office
                  hours just to see the work through. The large sales we derived from this hit project are
                  mainly due to her and her team’s efforts. Ladies and gentlemen, let us all welcome and
                  congratulate, Ms. Helen Siy!
