Now you’re talking.
JZ: Before walking right into the door of that store, we need to think of what liquor to buy.
Michael: I only have $20 here. So if you plan to buy something extra, tell me now.
JZ: Why are you asking me? It’s your money anyway.
Michael: How about another set of beer?
JZ: Now you’re talking.
Michael: But wait, aside from a set of beer, what else should we have?
JZ: Hey, I like chocolate.
Michael: I don’t like chocolates.
JZ: Wait a minute, you’re asking for my suggestion right?
Michael: I never asked for a chocolate, I’m asking for liquor.
JZ: But aren’t we going to buy anything else aside from beer?
Michael: Alright then, choose anything but chocolate.
JZ: As you wish.
Michael: Okay, go head and grab that beer, so we can start the party.
JZ: Wait a minute; aren’t we forgetting something?
Michael: What is it?
JZ: You forgot that this isn’t a treat. It’s your turn to treat me.
Michael: Alright, I haven’t forgotten about that deal.
JZ: (Laughs) I was just kidding. You don’t have to pay me back. It’s in the house!
Michael: No problem here, if that’s what you wish. (Winks)
1. Should you always look up to a peer in buying something?
Sample answer:
Yes, it’s our way of letting our peer know that we value their suggestions. It is not a sign
of weakness because it only shows your values. More importantly, you should trust
your peer’s idea. Isn’t it true that two heads are better than one?
2. Are social gatherings important in life?
