To step off to the right, the right foot moves from point A to
point B and then back to point A. The left foot remains in its
original position. To ensure you are distributing your body
weight on the right foot, lift your left foot up slightly. If you
can do so then you are distributing your weight correctly.
To step off to the left, the left foot moves from point A to
point B and then back to point A. The right foot remains in
its original position. To ensure you are distributing your body
weight on the left foot, lift your right foot up slightly. If you
can do so then you are distributing your weight correctly.
Step: A step occurs when both feet move from point A to
point B, taking your entire body off your target’s center line.
This means your head and body will not be directly in line
with your target. You are either stepping to the right or left
to shift your body and head away from the target’s center
line. Take both feet with you so that your entire body is off
the center line.
Center line: The center line is the perceived line that runs
directly down the middle of your forward-facing target,
