Diagnose- ABS system

3. Checking installation of ABS sensor of (right) front wheel

(a) As shown in the figure, check ABS
sensor of (right) front wheel for correct
installation.
(b) There should be no clearance between
the sensor and its mount.
(c) The fit clearance between the sensor and
the ring gear should be less than 0.7mm.
(d) The sensor can not rotate freely in its
mounting hole.

Are check results normal?
Yes > Go to step 3.
No > Reinstall ABS sensor of (right) front wheel.
4. Checking ABS sensor of (right) front wheel
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.

(b) Remove ABS sensor of (right) front
wheel.
(c) Check ABS sensor of (right) front wheel
for foreign materials.
(d) Check ABS sensor of (right) front wheel
for deformation and damage.

Are check results normal?
Yes > Go to step 4.
No > Clear foreign materials; if ABS sensor of (right) front wheel is deformed and damaged,
replace with a new one.
