               4. Shock absorber performance inspection
               (a) Pull and press the shock absorber to and fro for 2~3 times. You can deem it acceptable if its
travel is normal and uniform without noticeable idle travel, seizure, and resistance variations
in each whole reciprocating process and no oil leakage is found after a 24-hour horizontal
placement; otherwise, replace with a new one.

                                                                5. Installing left rear shock absorber

                                                                (a) Tighten the fixing nut on its bottom.

                                                                        Torques:
                                                                      Vehicle model Torque
                                                                        1051 series 122~149 N•m
                                                                        1061 series 45~55 N•m
                                                                        1089 series 199~243 N•m

                                                                                                                   22

                                                                (b) Tighten the fixing nut on its top.

                                                                         Torques:

                                                                      Vehicle model Torque
                                                                        1051 series 122~149 N•m
                                                                        1061 series 45~55 N•m
                                                                        1089 series 199~243 N•m

               6. After-mounting shock absorber inspection

               (a) After shock absorbers are mounted on your vehicle, drive your car on a poor road for approx.
10km and then stop to touch surfaces of shock absorbers. If there is a great temperature
difference between the two shock absorbers, it means resistances on them also differ greatly
and the one of lower temperature has smaller resistance. If surface temperature of any one is
not above the air temperature, it means that the shock absorber has no resistance and is out
of action, and then you should replace it with a new one.

               7. Removing right rear shock absorber

               Tip:
Follow the same removal steps for left front shock absorber to remove right rear shock absorber.
