(e). Measure the clearance between the gear and the
synchronizer ring.
Clearance

First-shifting and
secondary-shifting 1.3~1.7 mm
Third-shifting and 1.3~1.7 mm
fourth-shifting
Fifth-shifting and 1.3~1.7 mm
sixth-shifting

If the actual value is beyond the limit value, replace with a
new synchronizer ring.
22. Inspect the gear ring and gear seat of the
synchronizer
(a). Inspect the sliding conditions of the gear ring and
gear seat .

23. Install the secondary-axle and secondary-shifting
gear
(a). Install the secondary-shifting gear needling bearing.
(b). Install the secondary-shifting gear.

Notice:
• The needle bearing installed in the gear shall not
be higher than the end face of the gear; otherwise,
a new needle bearing shall be replaced with.
• Shake the needle bearing before installation to see
whether any needles are missed; if the bearing is
damaged, replace it in time.
(c). Install the secondary-shifting gear synchronizer ring.

Hint:
Install according to the marks made during the
31B disassembly, mixed installation is not permitted.

24. Assemble the first-shifting and secondary-shifting
synchronizers
(a). Install the gear seat into the gear ring.
(b). Install the first-shifting and secondary-shifting
synchronizer keys.
(c). Install the synchronizer spring.
