Eat well to

                            age well.

The good news is that in Canada, we're living
                       longer than ever before!
Long after retirement, people over 65 continue

to play an active role in their communities and
lead rich, vibrant and satisfying lives surrounded

                           by friends and family.

Healthy eating is much more than the food

you eat. It's about how you eat, where and
when you eat, and why you eat.

The amount of nutrients our bodies need at

age 30 is not necessarily the same as what
they will need at age 50 or 70. The body
undergoes changes with age that affect its

nutritional needs. Here are a few examples of
nutrients that you should pay special

           attention to:
                Proteins vitamin B12

                Fibers vitamin D
                calcium antioxidant

                                                                           24
