LEARNER EXPERIENCE

         THE TRAINING & LEARNING COMPANY

          LEARNER INVOLVEMENT

At TLC our main focus is YOU the learner and we want to provide each of our learners with the best possible learning
experience. TLC recognises that in order to make training as enriching and fulfilling as possible we need to listen to
our learners. In order to gain the most accurate feedback TLC have developed a learner involvement strategy to help
us find out what works for you.

The benefits to both TLC and learners:

        • Increased participation, retention, achievement and progression.
        • Independent, motivated and self-confident learners.
        • Improved feedback on the learning experience to inform quality improvements and strategic decision making.
        • Services and support targeted to learner needs.
        • Identification and sharing of best practice.

TLC respects the opinions of all our learners and we welcome constructive feedback. If you wish to share your
opinions with us there are a variety of ways you can do this:

        • Speak to your Trainer.
        • Speak to your IQA or contact Head Office.
        • Visit the Learner Forum.
        • Complete a feedback form and send it to us (this can be found on the Streamlearn).

          LEARNER EXPECTATIONS

Understanding your commitment and obligations of the apprenticeship programme is especially important. This may
be your first experience of workplace learning or you may be consolidating years of experience through a recognised
apprenticeship. As a responsible apprentice you will need to be able to demonstrate that you are committed to your
apprenticeship programme and that you are prepared to play an active part in your development. You will be expected
to act and behave in a professional manner at all times, both at work and during learning sessions, which include a
commitment to attendance, punctuality, responsible and respectful behaviour.

You will be expected to complete any agreed assessment set by your trainer and ensure that the work you submit/
present is to the highest standards.

                                                                                             The Training & Learning Company
