The University grievance machinery shall deliberate en banc and decide within thirty (30)
days upon receipt of the complaint/protest. The decision must have to be affirmed by the
University President. Within fifteen (15) days after the decision, the adversely affected party
may elevate the matter of the Board of Regents. If the party is still not satisfied with the
decision of the BOR, he/she may appeal to the Civil Service Commission within 15 days
from the receipt of the decision.
III. EFFECTIVITY
The Merit Selection and Promotion System for Faculty and Non-Teaching Employees

takes effect this 11 day of October, 2002 by virtue of Board Resolution No. 98, series of
2002.
IV. COMMITMENT
