The President of the Alumni Association states this is an ongoing effort to Continue to attend the Alumni Association’s monthly meetings and
1 encourage life membership 1 continue to plead with them on the need for their support to move
the University forward.
Request on again, the need to fund an Alumni Relations Officer in the
2022-2023 budget. This person could “rally up” the troops to turn their

negative experiences into positives through engagement with
administration, faculty, staff, and students.
Offer office space to the Alumni President to make her/him feel
3 3 welcomed on campus and encourage them to engage with the VC
of Advancement and the Chancellor.
Barriers/Challenges
Comments
The “life” members do not support the University with donations. Nor do they
1 volunteer their time at the University.
Connecting with the Alumni members poses a challenge as we do not have a
2 full time Alumni Director—the Vice Chancellor of Advancement cannot be all
to everyone.
