Supervisors
Responsible for employee’s performance
However, often not at same location and unable to observe performance
360 Degree Evaluations
Rated by supervisors, coworkers, clients or citizens, other professionals, and subordinates
Subordinate Evaluation
Can assess the leadership, training and development of employees, delegations, etc. if they
work closely with supervisor
Subordinates may lack necessary training or have other motives when rating supervisors
Self Appraisal
This process is helpful because employees often are aware of performance constraints or
have received commendations for their performance that their supervisor does not know
about
