Character Dialogue
Nurse Aisha : “Assalamu alaikum, Mrs. Tantree. How are you feeling
today?”
Mrs. Tantree : ”Wa alaikum assalam, Nurse Aisha. Not so well.
My hip pain is still bothering me, and I’m having trouble (1) ……………………………………………
sleeping at night. It’s also hard to move around without
help.”
Nurse Aisha : ”Thank you for sharing that. I understand you're
experiencing pain, difficulty sleeping, and reduced (2) ……………………………………………
mobility. Right now, our main priority is to manage your
pain, as it will help with both your sleep and mobility.”
Mrs. Tantree : ”That would be great. The pain has been constant since
surgery.”
Nurse Aisha : “Our goal is to reduce your pain to a manageable level, (3) ……………………………………………
aiming for around 3 or below on a scale of 0 to 10. We’ll
monitor this over the next 24 hours to see if the
interventions are effective.”
Mrs. Tantree : ”What can we do to make that happen?”
Nurse Aisha : “First, I’ll administer a pain reliever that’s scheduled every
four hours. This will be an initial intervention, and we’ll (4) ……………………………………………
check back in frequently to adjust as needed.”

medication)
Mrs. Tantree : “That sounds good. And what about moving around? I
really want to regain my strength.”
Nurse Aisha : ”Absolutely. Increasing your mobility is also part of the
care plan. Once we have your pain managed, our next goal
is for you to gradually start walking short distances with a (5) ……………………………………………
walker by the end of the week. We'll work with the
physical therapist to create a schedule.”
Mrs. Tantree : “I’d like to sleep better, too. I just can’t seem to get
comfortable.”
Nurse Aisha : ”We have that covered, too. Improving your sleep is
important for your overall recovery. I’ll be checking on (6) ………………………………………………
your comfort in the evenings, and we’ll add supportive
pillows to keep your hip stable at night. If pain is affecting
your sleep, let me know right away, and we can adjust
your medication if needed.”
Mrs. Tantree : “Thank you, Nurse Aisha. This makes me feel a lot more
confident about recovering.”
Nurse Aisha : “Allahumma rabban naas mudzhibal ba'si isyfi antasy-
syaafii laa syafiya illaa anta syifaa'an laa yughaadiru
saqoman. I’m glad to hear that, Mrs. Tantree. We’ll work
on each of these goals step-by-step and make any
adjustments as necessary. You’re doing great. Let’s take it
one day at a time. Assalamu alaikum.”
Mrs. Tantree : “Wa alaikum assalam, Nurse Aisha. Thank you again.”
