“TO INCULCATE THE LEADERSHIP QUALITIES IN THE STUDENTS AND TO GIVE THEM A
FEELING OF THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE BODY, THE SCHOOL PRE-
FECTORIAL BOARD IS FORMED AFTER SCRUTINOUS SELECTION.” –MRS SHAKEELA
Let’s be honest, school is a place that most students like just because they get to meet
their cherished ones. Talking to peers is probably your favourite thing to do at school,
because if it is, then high five – it is mine too. Every student likes to express their feel-
ings with someone who is of their age and mentality, right? But it is important to realise
that there are limits that should not be crossed. Monitors are there to ensure that stu-
dents are able to have fun while obeying the rules as school is a mixture of self-restraint
and adventure. The day of the Investiture Ceremony dawned to bestow responsibilities
on the deserving young talents of the school to lead their school from the front with
their commitment, confidence and competence. The school held the ceremony with great
enthusiasm; it was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to discharge
the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school and demonstrate what a real future
leader does. This occasion takes place every year to inculcate leadership qualities in stu-
dents and give them a feel of being an important and integral part of the administrative
body. Monitors put in huge effort into making sure that their fellow classmates are en-
joying their time at school and maintaining discipline at the same time. This is mostly a
teacher‘s job but it is indeed a fact that students learn better from their friends. This is
why Al-Waha presents the monitors of each class with a badge at the Investiture Cere-
mony to accolade and embolden them.
