Remembering 2012:
As I look back on the past year through
these photos, I see the sun’s move-
ment as it heads northward until June
and then reverses direction and gradually
heads southward until December. I see the
lengthening and shortening of the days, evi-
denced by the time of sunrise recorded on
each picture. Finally, I see in them a remind-
er for us, of our place in the overall scheme
of life: wherever you live or whatever you
do, the sun will continue to march back
and forth across the horizon each year
and the days will continue to lengthen
and shorten. Tell me, as you look back
upon the many suns of this year, what is
it you see?
