International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
The world’s largest developer and publisher of
International Standards. A non-governmental network
of the national standards institutes of 162 countries.
ISO/IEC 17021
Principles and requirements for the competence,
consistency and impartiality of the audit and
certification of management systems of all types (i.e.
quality management systems or environmental
management systems) and for bodies providing these
activities.
ISO/IEC 17065
An International Standard which sets out criteria for
bodies operating certification of products, services
and processes.
Key Processes
Activities within an organization that are critical to the
success of the company’s strategy, customer service
and satisfaction and competitive advantage. Includes
inputs, outputs, resources, data, training, etc.
Management
Coordinated activities to direct and control an
organization.
