Glossary of Terms
     is  external  to  the  organization.  The  company  must
     identify  and  control  the  outsourced  processes,  and
     ensure  that  each  outsourced  process  is  effective.
     They  must  also  figure  out  how  to  control  the
     interaction  between  internal  and  out  sourced
     processes.

     Oversight  Body  (also  known  as  Accreditation
     Body)
     An independent agency having jurisdiction to formally
     recognize  the  competence  of  a  certification  body  to
     provide certification services.

     Peer Review
     Governing body for the accreditation body, made up
     of other accreditation bodies.

     Preventive Action
     The  action  to  eliminate  the  cause  of  a  potential
     nonconformity or other undesirable potential situation.

     Procedure
     A specified way to carry out an activity or process.

     Process
     A  set  of  interrelated  and  interacting  activities  which
     transforms inputs into outputs.

     Process Approach
     A  management  strategy.  Companies  that  use  a
     process  approach manage  the  processes  that  make
     up  their  organization,  the  interaction  between  these
