Dalam penutup pembentangan, Encik Adzmel turut mempromosi pelaksanaan Kajian KPKM-

6 yang akan dijalankan oleh LPPKN pada tahun 2024 yang bertujuan menyediakan data
terkini dan siri masa mengenai kependudukan, kekeluargaan dan kesihatan reproduktif di

Malaysia. Data yang dijana daripada KPKM-6 mampu menjadi sumber rujukan penting untuk
penggubalan dasar, pembentukan modul, dan pelaksanaan aktiviti dan program bagi

mensejahterakan keluarga dan penduduk di Malaysia.

Soalan 1:

Dr. Chong, how did you investigate and reach conclusions about these attitudes
towards marriage and childbearing? Do these attitudes have any links to

socioeconomic factors like the cost of living?

We used instrument consists of scales that measure attitudes towards marriage and

childbearing. Finding shows that there were positive attitudes towards having children and
starting a family. Young people (20-25 years old) envision themselves having a family but are

not practically ready yet. While attitudes are positive, economic factors and support from the
workplace and community are crucial to bridging the gap.

Soalan 2:

Flexible work arrangements are often seen as for women. How can we promote shared

responsibility within families?
