The broad Scope of Work for TCE under the said Technical Assistance
Assignment is documented below:
1. Review and amendment of “Uttarakhand Waste to Energy Policy – 2018
(draft)”
2. Preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for land reclamation/
capping of identified existing dumpsites
3. Preparation of DPRs on Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) for
identified Clusters
In the above context, the “Draft Detailed Project Report - Land Reclamation of
Existing Municipal Solid Waste Dumping Ground at Rishikesh, Uttarakhand” is
being submitted in the form of this document. This Report elaborates on
observations of TCE on dumping ground based on site visit and interactions with
RNN officials, the results of proposed surveys/ investigations, technology screening
for land reclamation of dumpsite, the methodology and costing of selected
technology.
1.2.1 SCOPE OF WORK:
TCE Scope of work includes:
1. Site visit and investigation of existing MSW Dumpsite of RNN at Govind nagar.
2. The primary data collection of existing dumpsite available with RNN.
3. Quantitative assessment of existing legacy waste at Govind nagar Dumpsite
4. Qualitative assessment of existing legacy waste at Govind nagar Dumpsite.
(Physical and Chemical characterization )
5. Preparation of DPR comprising
a) Assessment of waste
b) Analysis & selection of Technology/ Process
c) Application of Technology/ Process
d) Estimation of proposed technology/process
1.2.2 OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
The main objectives of the proposed project are as follows:
a) The main objective of the project is “Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR)
for reclamation of existing municipal solid waste dumped at dumping ground
b) Provide environmentally safe and sustainable solution to handle the dumped
waste
c) To improve environmental condition at dumping ground
d) To reclaim the land
