4.    Discuss differences between the beliefs of Christians and Jews, eg the
                    Jews are still awaiting the Messiah whereas Christians believe that Jesus in
                    the Messiah.

                      Talk about the Ten  Commandments and Jesus’ summary of them in Mark

                     12:29-31.

                      Discuss  how we  dress to go to church and how the Jews dress. Refer to
                     different  kinds of Jewish dress according to the groups to which they

                     belong.

                      Remind the children that the Greeks worshipped individually in the temples
                     not corporately as Jews do in synagogues and Christians do in church.


                5. Spend time emphasising the importance of honouring and respecting people of
                     other faiths even if we have different beliefs.


                 6. Let the children complete the worksheet and/or write their own account of the
                visit to the synagogue.
