7. Talk about how you go about making up an index. Compare an index with a contents
page. (The index contains more detail of what is in the book.) God has gifted some
people with a mind which enjoys doing very detailed work, and they get joy in using
their gift to serve other people.
8. Let the children complete the worksheet. The children could also look for contents
and index pages in books.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children will understand the purposes of contents and index pages as well as the
logic of how the information is displayed.
2. They will begin to understand that God gives wisdom to develop peaceful and orderly
ways whereby others may share in what we know.
3. They should become more aware of serving the reader.
