STEWARDSHIP OF YOUR HOME

Truth to Teach (Source)

To consider ways in which the children can steward, or care for, their home.

Way to Work (Means)

1. Review the meaning of stewardship of areas covered before half-term.

2. Stress that each person’s work is important as each one brings different gifts and talents
for the benefit of the whole family.

Only wash dirty clothes Tidy desks/rooms

Hang coats up Stewardship of the home Not wasting food

Switch taps off Leave wash basins clean

3. Let the children discuss how they can help look after their home.

4. The children could record their work as a mind map, with illustrations.

5. End the lesson by praying for the family.

Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

The children will appreciate the role they have in stewarding their home. They will also learn more
of the caretaking role in the home and how each person is vital to the smooth running of the home.
