English Literacy Evaluation Criteria
Grade
Criteria (A/B/C)
Reading Able to read the material accurately, understand the materials given,
recognise and follow the punctuation marks
Listening Able to understand all listening exercises and complete the relevant
listening task independently
Writing Able to use and spell words appropriate for one’s proficiency, writing
tasks are grammatically correct for one’s level and work is presented
clearly and neatly
Speaking Able to speak clearly and audibly with confidence, present
information on a chosen topic by using appropriate oral language
Homework Is completed on time, presented in clear and neat manner and
corrections are done as required
Can read the material accurately

Can understand the material given
