Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica Wall and Mobile Educa on Center spreads a healing legacy, and educates about the impact of the Vietnam War.
The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall) along with a mobileEduca onCenter,iscomingtoClintonTownship, from July 16 to July 19. The exhibit, which will be on display on the grounds of the Township Civic Center, will be open 24 hours a day and is free to the public.
The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War, and it bears the names of the 58,276 men and women who made the ul mate sacri ce.
“The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) is pleased to bring The Wall That Heals mobile exhibit to Clinton Township to allow local veterans and their family members an opportunity to experience The Wall and honor and remember those who have served and sacri ced,” said Jim Kno s, President and CEO of VVMF.
“Hos ng The Wall That Heals provides an opportunity for a healing and educa onal experience for visitors on theimpactoftheVietnamWaronAmerica,”hesaid.
“It’s the third me The Wall That Heals has been to Clinton Township,” said Township Supervisor Bob Cannon. “Part of the tradi on we have in Clinton Township is that we recognize and honor our veterans at every opportunity. We have another tradi on also. In 2010 and 2015 we applied for The Wall That Heals to come to our community and we received it. We applied again, and we were approved for a return this summer, one of only two communi es in Michigan to have it,” hesaid.
