                                  Pecan Pralines




                                         Ingredients



               1 ½ sticks, unsalted butter
               1 cup sugar
               1 cup brown sugar
               ½ cup heavy cream
               1 cup milk
               1 cup chopped Pecans
               2 cups Pecan halves
               2 tbsp vanilla extract.


                                         Lagniappe

               Melt the butter in a pot over high heat; as soon as it is melted add the sugars
               and cream.

               Cook for another minute whisking constantly and add the regular milk and
               the chopped Pecans.

               Cook the chopped Pecans for about 4 more minutes whisking continually.

               Reduce the heat to medium.  Continue to whisk the mixture for another 4
               minutes.  Add the Pecan halves and vanilla and continue whisking till the
               Pralines are done (about 10 to 15 minutes longer.

               Carefully drop the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet by heaping teaspoons.
               Each Praline should form a two inch Pattie about ½ inches thick.
