TEXAS SHEET CAKE
Ingredients
Cake Frosting
2 sticks real butter 1 stick real butter
1 cup water 4 tbsp coco
4 tbsp coco 6 tbsp milk
2 cups sugar 1 lb powdered sugar
2 cups flour 1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt 1 cup chopped walnuts
3 eggs
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp baking soda

SHEET CAKE
Preheat your oven to 400’ and pre grease a sheet pan.
In a sauce pan mix the water, butter and coco. Bring to a boil and pour into a large
mixing bowl. In a separate bowl mix the sugar, flour and salt. Blend into the
chocolate mixture and stir till it is a smooth consistency. Blend in the sour cream,
eggs and baking soda stir well and pour into your greased sheet pan and bake for 20
minutes

FROSTING
Make your frosting about 15 or twenty minutes before your cake is done. Cake
should be frosted as soon as it comes out of the oven
In a sauce pan heat the butter till it melts, add the coco and milk and cook it till the
mixture begins to bubble. Once the mixture begins to bubble, remove it from the
heat. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar, when the mixture is thoroughly blended,
and the walnuts.
Pour and spread the frosting over the sheet cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
