                                       Patty melt




                                          Ingredients


               11/2 lbs ground beef
               2 tsp Worcestershire
               1 tsp kosher salt
               ½ tsp pepper
               3 medium Vidalia onions (sliced)
               6 slices cheddar cheese
               ____________________________________________________________________

                                                  Sauce
               ¼ cup Dijon mustard
               ¼ cup mayonnaise
               ½ tsp BBQ sauce
               ½ tsp hot sauce

                                             Lagniappe


               Mix the sauce ingredients together and set aside.

               In a large bowl combine ground beef, Worcestershire, salt & pepper. Shape into
               patties.

               In a large cast iron skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Sauté the onions
               till they are soft and golden brown (about 20 min)

               Remove the onions and cook the patties about 3 minutes per side in the same skillet.
               Remove the patties and wipe the skillet clean.

               Layer 1 bread slice with 1 tbsp of the sauce, 3 tbsp onions, 1 slice of cheese, 1 patty,
               and top with another tbsp of sauce. Top with a slice of bread.

               Heat the skillet to medium heat; melt 2 tbsp of butter, Cook the patty melts on both
               sides till toasted.
