There are four kinds of conflicts.

1. Person with self: This type of conflict is within a person.
For example, Meera’s friends are calling her for watching

a film but she has to study for a test.

2. Person with another person: This type of conflict
is with another person. For example, Meera has an
argument with her younger sister.

3. Person with nature: This type of conflict is with weather,
animals, land or something that a person cannot control.
For example, when you have fever or when you cannot go to

school because your house gets flooded
with rainwater.

4. Person with society: This type of conflict is a
problem that a person has with the law or a

group of people. For example, your school
bus driver does not stop at a red signal
because he is running late to reach
the school in the morning.

Conflict 1 is an inner conflict.
Conflicts 2, 3 and 4 are
external conflicts.
