If ‘Human Rights’ tell you that you have freedom, does that mean that you should be allowed
to do whatever you want, whenever you want? Give reasons.
What if you liked to scream? Should you be free to do this? Should you scream with your
eyes closed while walking around the classroom? Give reasons.
Rules and putting a LIMIT to freedom at home, in school and in public areas is important
for every person to enjoy his/her rights and to live without fear and in safety.
Discuss and write your answers to the following questions:
How do we know if a rule/law is fair?
Should you just make a rule that ‘screaming at home should not be allowed’?
If you were the Principal of your school, how would you write the rule about not
making noise in school to make it fair for everyone, facilitators and learners?
Share your answers with the class.
