students to finish their writing tasks. Therefore, researcher enacted lecturer‘s role
as an information provider in implementing the IBLL model in writing classes.
The four lecturers‘ role of IBLL model abovementioned was taken based
on the needs analysis of learning needs. The data of ranking of lecturers‘ role are
presented as Table 17 as follows.

The data of Table 17 showed that the lecturers‘ roles as assessor, feedback
giver, facilitator, and information provider was appropriate role (in strongly agree)
in developing the IBLL model. The last three lecturers‘ role was inserted in some
roles in practice. For instance, the lecturer‘s role as an organizer and controller
was adapted in as a facilitator. Meanwhile, as collaborator, the lecturer modified
this role in practice into the feedback giver.
The lecturers‘ roles in teaching writings were validated by observers
during the classroom. The observers assessed the lecturers‘ performance in classes
when they performed their roles. Based on the observers‘ assessment, the roles of
lecturers in writing class were categorized as appropriate roles. The result of
observers‘ assessment can be seen in Table 18 as follows.
