Table 18 showed that the IBLL model viewed from lecturers‘ performance
was very good (87%). The data were collected by using questionnaires. Items of

questionnaire consisted of 16 items. Researcher involved two observers to assess
the lecturers‘ performances or activities since the model is implementing in

writing classes. The aspects assessed by both observers associated with the

perceptions done by lecturers in classes. Based on the result of assessment, the
first observer stated that the lecturers‘ performance were very good (87%) and the

second observer claimed that lecturers‘ performance were very good (88%).
The two observers claimed students‘ and lecturers‘ performance of the

IBLL model were appropriate. Besides that, the two observers gave suggestion
and comments in learning processes. For instance, observer 1 in meeting 1 stated

that ―in noticing stage, lecturer takes time too long in presenting the topic of

wedding ceremonies‖. Meanwhile, observer 2 gave suggestion that ―students seem
lack of vocabularies and grammar, so lecturer should explain the meaning of each

model text before move to the next step‖. Based on this comment and suggestion,

researcher did some refinement for the next meeting.
The activities in meeting 2, the two observers also gave comments.

Observer 1 asserted that ―in part of ‗let‘s act‘, lecturer would rather diminish
repetition of students‘ tasks‖. Observer 2 gave suggestion that he stated ―in pair

activities, students lead more to compare one culture with another culture‖. Based
on this comment and suggestion, researcher arranged the student and lecturer

                        activities in next stages.

                        5. Instructional Materials
This sub-chapter presents the parts of the IBLL model in line with research

questions associated with the contents of the IBLL materials, the material inputs
to the teaching learning process, and the teaching learning tasks.

                        a. Content of the IBLL Materials
                               Contents of the IBLL materials are presented in three topics of discussion;

                        namely general, comparison, and values.
