Conclusion
This study aimed to evaluate and rank transportation delivery type using the Neutrosophic Fuzzy
Simple Additive Weighting (NFSAW) method based on different criteria such as demand, distance,
weather, and driver behavior. By utilizing triangular neutrosophic fuzzy numbers, the NFSAW
method was able to handle uncertainty and imprecise judgments from expert evaluations. The
step 2: Transform to triangular fuzzy results showed that economy delivery ranked the highest in terms of cost-effectiveness, followed
number by standard and express delivery. These findings suggest that the NFSAW method can serve as a
reliable decision-support tool for logistics providers to decide on the most appropriate delivery
type to minimize transport cost. The results clearly demonstrate that the proposed method
effectively achieves the objective of optimal delivery type selection.
Recommendation
Based on the findings, it is recommended that logistics or courier companies consider
step 7: form normalized decision
step 3: find average fuzzy scores, defuzzified matrix adopting structured decision-making tools such as NFSAW to improve cost analysis and
values and normalized weight for each criteria strategic planning. Future studies can explore expanding the number of criteria or adding
real-time operational factors such as traffic conditions, fuel prices, and vehicle availability for
a more dynamic model. Besides, working with more experts or businesses could enhance the
generalizability and validity of the findings. Comparing with other MCDM methods like AHP,
TOPSIS, or VIKOR under a neutrosophic environment can also provide further insights.
