Peg Gaggini

Peg’s many years of service to Girl Scouting are characterized
by dedication, reliability and loyalty. She chaired one of the
most challenging and successful collaborative community
service projects. The Lake Erie Girl Scout Council was the
frst in USA to fund and build a Habitat House. The “Invest in
Humanity” project enabled girls to contribute to the lives of
others while exploring career options in diverse felds. The
project earned recognition from Presidents Clinton and Carter,
GSUSA, legislators, and community organizations. When Peg
takes on a job nothing stops her from getting it done and the
results exceed all expectations.

Mary is an awesome troop leader. She keeps the girls incredibly,
actively involved and should be applauded for her effort.

You both do the heavy lifting that no one sees but your impact
is felt in positive ways. So glad for the opportunity to work with
you.

My deepest thanks go to my co-conspirator in my volunteer
life with GSNEO, the co-leader of 1410. The person that said, “ I
need to start this troop, do it with me ,” and led me down a path
that neither of us could have imagined. Heidi will try anything
from chasing a owl in the dead of winter, at night, attracting it
with calls on her cell phone to zip lining with gusto over animals
at the Wilds. She shared my frustration and laughter, did the
most thankless of jobs, and always wanted the best for our girls.
Thank you sincerely Heidi!
