Georgie Ice
A true Girl Scout in every sense of the word comes to mind
when we think of Georgie. As many a volunteer does, she
served in various roles in Girl Scouting including leader, trainer,
service unit director and many years as part of the day camp
staff at Intergrove Cabin. She was the kind of adult volunteer
that would mentor and launch other volunteers on their Girl
Scout journeys helping them feel appreciated and confdent in
their positions. She truly believed in the Girl Scout movement
supporting it in all she did and continuing her involvement with
her Golden Trefoil group.

Nancy Kachmarik
Nancy was well -known to me as the awesome troop leader of
my niece’s troop when I met her as my SUD. The Service Unit
blossomed under Nancy’s care and I was privileged to be a
witness. What was once a six- person meeting in a tiny room
now takes a middle school cafeteria to house. She was unerring
in putting girls frst in everything she did .. Service Unit campouts
were her specialty, there were labs in the woods and taped
messages in the car, chalk outlines and masquerade balls that
all magically appeared thanks to Nancy . She inspired me to
stay committed to scouting and in no small part contributed to
my success. Thanks Nancy!
