Portrait Panels - Create from Template

If using one of Jostens’ Portrait templates in Layout Pro, you will need to remove the portrait panel and replace with a
flow element.

STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR TEMPLATE
• If preferred, you may use last year’s templates. See
Save Templates for Next Year for more details.
• To select a new template, click on the Designs tab.
• Choose the template design you would like to use
from the Portrait category (at the bottom of the
designs list).

STEP 2: DELETE PORTRAIT PANEL
Delete the Portrait Panel from the template.

STEP 3: ADD FLOW ELEMENT
Replace the portrait panel by adding a flow element.
Adjust the flow element by using the Flow Options
button in the contextual toolbar.

STEP 4: SAVE AS TEMPLATE
Save as a template into the My Templates section
(File>Save as Template) and apply this template to your
entire flow section.

STEP 5: FLOW YOUR PORTRAITS
• Go to the Flow tab
• Select category you’d like to flow portraits from.
• Enter start and end page for flowing. Layout Pro
will calculate the amount of positions available to
flow in. These must be greater than or equal to the
amount of images in the category to flow all of
the images.
• Once all details are entered and flow elements are
adjusted to your preferences, click the Flow button
in the Flow tab to flow portraits.

IF YOU NEED TO REFLOW FOR ANY REASON, WHEN RESETING YOUR PORTRAIT FLOW, click
select the class and click Reset. You will be taken to the the Reset button to reset the flow. Student names and
first page of portraits for that class and can re-flow with
your updated images. deleted portrait boxes will not be altered/added back in
until the preview is refreshed and the portrait images are
flowed again.
